Rolex Miami OCR

The Rolex Miami Olympic Class Regatta welcomed 369 sailors from 34 countries competing in the weeklong event, which wrapped up February 2. Laser Radial class sailor Paige Railey of Clearwater, Florida, finished three points ahead of her long-time rival Anna Tunnicliffe of Plantation, Florida, in the final standings. Though Paige bested her rival during the OCR, it’s Anna who beat out Paige at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials and who will represent the U.S. in women’s Lasers at the Olympic Games in August. “It’s a relief–the pressure is off, and I can relax for a couple of events while I gear up for winning in China,” said 25-year-old Anna ...

Yngling Sailors Qualify for Olympics

In other Olympic news, Yngling sailors Sally Barkow of Nashotah, Wisconsin, Carrie Howe of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and Debbie Capozzi of Bayport, New York, have qualified to represent their class in the Olympic Games in China. After winning fourth overall at the Yngling Women’s World Championship in Miami, Florida, Sally and crew successfully completed qualification for the U.S. Olympic Team for Sailing. ...
