Check out this list of underwater cameras for photographers who want to capture the rest of what our planet has to offer.

Cameras and water don’t mix. . .unless, of course, you have an underwater camera. These are great not only to capture your time in the water snorkeling, diving or splashing around, but also because they provide a level of security against spray and moisture aboard your boat that is missing with any regular camera equipment.

Trust me on this one: I have a lot of very expensive paperweights that look a lot like corroded cameras.

Before you buy your underwater camera, you need to make some basic decisions. First, digital vs. film. Digital is the new medium, but if you only want something for the kids, a waterproof disposable film camera is good fun. However, you don’t get the instant gratification of digital because you have to drop off the film (and the camera) for processing....
