The Industry’s First V8 5.3-Liter Four-Stroke Outboard

They call it the Four-stroke Revolution, and it’s sweeping the land. Prompted by stricter emission regulations enforced by the EPA, four-stroke technology was brought to the outboard world and consumers have embraced it. Four-stroke engines accounted for 66 percent of outboard sales in 2006, up from 47 percent in 2003, according to the National Marine Manufacturers Association. As consumers have made the move to these cleaner, quieter, more fuel-efficient engines, Yahama has embraced this trend and now offers the broadest range of four-stroke engines on the market, ranging from 2.5 horsepower all the way up to its new 350-horsepower F350. ...
