HAS NEW WEB ADDRESS
The Safety and Security Net, an Internet- and SSB-based watchdog reporter of crimes against yachtsmen throughout the Caribbean, has moved. The Web address is now safetyandsecuritynet.com and the e-mail address is SVSecondM@aol.com. Still broadcast on SSB 8104.0 everyday at 1215 UTC, the Net gives cruisers an idea of where crime is occurring and what kind of offenses are being committed (i.e. theft, burglary, robbery, assault). This provides for either a feeling of relative safety or sense of warning that extra precaution is needed and a BOLO for items such as tenders and outboards that have gone missing. Areas covered span the Greater Antilles, Virgin Islands, Leewards, Northern Windwards to the Southern Windwards and Venezuelan mainland and islands. ...
