Want to maneuver your twin sterndrive boat with unparalleled ease? How about directing the boat’s movements with a joystick? Move the joystick in whatever direction you wish and the boat will follow. Rotate the joystick and the boat will obediently spin about its center. The speed at which it moves depends on how far you move or rotate the joystick. Does this sound like a description of the joystick that is an outstanding part of Mercury’s Zeus twin diesel drive system? It should, as the magic is provided by a similar computer.
Once code named Project Apollo, this system promises to be a valued new member of Mercury’s pantheon of mythical Roman gods.
