For the past 35 years, Sabre has been quietly building an enviable reputation along with its handsome and well-made boats. The Sabre 38 and 42 Express models have been steady sellers, but many returning customers have been asking for something larger. This, coupled with the natural progression of the company, has led to the development of the 52 Salon Express.
There is more than a passing nod to the older, smaller models in the 52, and walking down the dock there is no mistaking its classic Sabre lines. As you would expect of a Maine boatbuilder, there is something of a Down East style to the hull. With moderate deadrise carried well forward, this boat is no racehorse, but it’s no slouch either. With the throttles wide open, she tops out at just a tad over 30 knots. Pulling back to 25, she consumes just over 65 gallons per hour, the twin Cat C15s purring away and hardly noticeable at the helm. ...
